25th Garren Invitational
General Information for the Day of the Event
Registration and Music
- Please be aware that the Check-In/Hospitality table will not open until 7:00am.
- All competitors are asked to come through the front doors of the RPI Houston Field House. You will not be able to enter through the side door.
- Please remember to check in at this table and let us know you are here.
- You may also hand in your music at that time as well.
Pre-recorded cassettes or CDs are required. Only one track per CD is all
owed. Music must be clearly marked with the skater's name, level, and
length of program and submitted one hour before the start of the
skater's event. The Hudson Mohawk Figure Skating Club assumes no
responsibility or liability for damage or loss of cassettes/CDs.
All competitors must have a duplicate cassette, or CD with them at rink.
After
each
event,
music
will
be
returned
to
the
hospitality desk
for
the
competitor
to
pick
up.
- Some events have been divided into smaller groups.
We will inform you as to what group you have been placed at
Check-In.
- Awards will be announced and awarded during the ice
breaks. The exception will be the Team Award, will be
determined at the end of the event.
- We will have both a still and video photographer at this
event. Please check in with each table if you are
interested in their services.
- All results will be posted by the concession stand.
- Participants are advised
to be present at
least one hour before their
event in case the competition is
running early.
Practice Ice Sessions the day of the
Garren
We will have a total of 3 practice ice sessions as
follows:
- 7:15am until 7:30am
- 7:30am until 7:45am
- 7:45am ice to be resurfaced for the Garren to begin at
8:00am.
- Approximately 12:31pm for 15 minute session.
- Resurface ice prior to beginning of next event.
**If time permits, we will offer another practice ice
session during the time break.
- Each practice session is $10.
- The number of skaters allowed on the ice will be
restricted.
- Ice is available on a first come first served
basis. All sessions must be paid for prior to getting
on the ice. Please see the ice monitor at the Zamboni
end of the rink to make arrangements and payment.
Other Info
Garren will have a concession stand serving hot food and
beverages all day.
Flowers can be purchased to give to your favorite
skater. Ask at check-in as to how you may purchase a
single flower or a small bouquet.
