25th Garren InvitationalLetter from HMFSC PresidentDear Parent and Skater, Attached is the application for the 25th GARREN INVITATIONAL COMPETITION that the Hudson Mohawk Figure Skating Club is hosting on Saturday, March 29 here, at the RPI Field House. This competition also includes a BASIC SKILLS portion for the Learn To Skate Members. Attached you will find more information about the Basic Skills levels and what is expected. If you are interested in having your child participate at the Garren, please take a few minutes at the conclusion of the session to speak with your child's instructor. She will be more than happy to explain the various skill levels and to answer any questions you may have. If you do not have time to stay and speak with the instructor call Ann Seman (235-9362) or Tommie Palladino (783-1275). At last year's Garren our Club had over 20 skaters who participated and had a wonderful time at the competition. We purposely make the competition groups small so each skater will receive an award for participating. If your skater is not interested in participating, please try to stop by on Saturday, March 29 to cheer for other Hudson Mohawk members. At the same time you will get a chance to watch various level of free skating. Skaters come from throughout New York, Massachusetts and Connecticut to compete at the Garren.
