Local Skaters Take Honors

Several members of the Hudson Mohawk Figure Skating Club recently competed at the Skating Club of New Hartford Winter Competition where together, they won a combined total of 10 awards including a Gold Medal in the Team Event.

Also participating at the sanctioned US Figure Skating competition was Morgan Wojtowicz from Clifton Park, who won 2 gold metals. Association members; Juliana Drozd and Amanda Gemmiti also 5 awards..

Other skating members of the Club traveled to Lake Placid were they competed in the annual ISI Competition that attracts skaters throughout New York State. Awards were given to Juliana Drozd, Demi Flack, Gianna Foley, Sydney Julian, Izabella Martin, Laura Shadlock and Amanda Shadlock.

Club member, Ayla Senecal competed in the 25th Bay State Games in MA where she won Gold in her free skating event.
