HMFSC member, Ava Zakrewski, competed for the first time at the IJS Novice level at the 22nd Biennial Genesee Invitational in Rochester, NY on April 9, 2021. Ava's program is set to the Cinderella theme and she was a star princess in her own right! Landing the double axel in a beautiful program, she placed 3rd out of 7 skaters.

Later that evening, Ava competed in the IJS Novice Ladies Freeskate and received 5th place.
Ava's next competition is at the 2021 Pennslyvania Skating Championships, part of the Keystone State Games. She will again be competing in the IJS Novice Ladies events.
