
Learn To Skate Winter 2025
Winter Session Details: 10 weeks Jan 4, 11, 18, 25, Feb 1, 15, 22, March 1, 8, 15 4:15 pm – 5:15 pm
Location: Albany County Hockey Facility – 18 Hockey Lane Albany, NY
Learn to Skate – USFS Basic Skills levels 1-6 (click here for levels and descriptions). Develop a strong foundation to explore the world of skating. Focus on new skills, while developing agility, balance, coordination and speed while advancing at your own pace. Skater must be at least 5 years of age by December 1, 2025. Adult skaters (age 18 or older) will be assigned to their own group(s).
Lesson Breakdown: 4:15 – 4:45: lesson, 4:45 – 5:15 practice ice, but lesson and practice time may be
reversed depending on enrollment. If you miss a class there are no make-up sessions. Schedule is
subject to change.
Skate rental will be available for $30 for the 10 weeks. Skaters are encouraged to have their own skates
for a better skating experience. Partial refund will be made if skater has their own skates by the Feb 15th
session. Skaters 6 years of age or younger must wear helmets. Skaters in Basic 1 or Basic 2
classes must wear helmets, including adults. It is recommended that all skaters wear helmets and
gloves.
